Do you need to know what’s going on underground?

We can help.

"You have a plan. Don't let what's underground get in the way of your success."

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING when it comes to beautiful, uniform grassy land. Moisture, rock content, shallow bedrock, clay content and other variables can directly affect the desired use of your property. We can map those underground variables, enabling you to move forward in your project more quickly and with less surprises along the way.

Petroleum products like heating oil, gasoline and diesel fuel are often stored in UNDERGROUND TANKS. Corrosion can occur on the sides and edges of older tanks, causing them to leak fuel into the ground, putting your well water – and drinking water – at risk for contamination. But you don’t need to be afraid. We can tell you exactly what’s going on with your tank and make sure it’s safe for you and your loved ones. The DEQ has funding to help pay for environmental cleanup if your water supply is at risk due to an underground petroleum leak.

Many Virginia residents get their drinking WATER FROM WELLS. If you drill into a spot with poor bedrock fracturing, you might get a “duster” or a dry well. We can use our technology and experience to help you find the best spots to drill for high groundwater yields and make sure your well water is safe from contaminant threats. We also walk you through the public water supply well-permitting process.

Ignorance is not bliss. It's unnerving.

When Thomas Jefferson was advocating for a university in Virginia, he wrote, “There can be no stronger proof that knowledge is power, and that ignorance is weakness.”

Knowledge of what is happening underground puts you in a place of power. Power to solve problems. Power to make wise decisions. Power to move forward.

Three Steps to Peace of Mind

  1. Discussion. Let’s talk about your project, plans, goals and vision.

  2. Investigation. Using cutting edge technology and years of experience, we will give you the answers you need.
  3. Resolution. When you have the results of the investigation, we can hep you develop a plan for moving forward.

Hydro Geo - the right mix of science and personal connection.

We know we’re a bunch of Geology geeks. We can’t help it. Solving underground problems is what gets us out of bed in the morning. We love it. But we also have a unique knack for communicating scientific concepts to our clients, no matter what their Geologic knowledge may be. Remember, knowledge is power and we want to empower our clients to progress in their projects. We will always speak clearly and honestly with you. That’s a promise.
